Why We're Different

We Specialize in Retirement and We’re Committed to Putting Our Clients’ Needs First!

Because we understand the unique issues retirees face, we help our clients answer the most important questions about retirement.

Rich Carroll and Chris Long, our CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professionals, develop and implement comprehensive financial plans tailored to our clients, strictly adhering to the CFP® ethics and fiduciary standards. This means that our CFP® professionals are obligated to provide planning advice that is in our clients’ best interest. We are NOT salespeople; we are advisors and will not recommend anything you don’t need.

The team at Intentional Wealth Strategies, has taken this a step further by offering investment management services headed by Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®), Chris Long, through Raymond James Financial Services Advisors, Inc. The prestigious CFA® designation is a premier certification in the industry, requiring an extensive breadth of knowledge and thousands of hours of experience. Both the CFP® and the CFA® designations require continued education, and an ongoing commitment to putting our clients’ needs first.

Discretionary Investment Management.

Although we embrace full transparency in our investment approach, we want our clients to relax in retirement. After obtaining a thorough understanding of our clients’ goals and risk tolerance, our advisors use their experience to allocate investments using discretionary accounts. This means that they rebalance portfolios by making sales and purchases in line with the unique goals and risk tolerance of our individual clients. We won’t call you every time something needs adjusted in your portfolio. In addition to our financial planning meetings, we meet with our clients at least once annually for an investment review.

Asking the right questions is powerful!

The CFA institute has assembled a list of important questions to ask any advisor you’re considering working with. Does your wealth manager measure up?
